Shingles

Shingles is caused by a reactivation of the Herpes Zoster Virus (the chicken pox virus) and causes a painful blistering rash.  In this short video, Dr Grant Blashki talks about what causes it, it's treatment especially when picked up in the first 72 hours. It's exciting to see that there is now an effective vaccine which helps prevent this painful disease.
